Hello Everyone and Happy Wednesday 🙂

Do you know what capturing starlight is? It’s the best ability a human being can have. It’s also the most beautiful and heartbreaking one too.

No one can go through life without getting hurt at least once. It can be something small, mean and petty  or something devastating, life-changing and seemly insurmountable. Some of us managed to get past it, no matter what has been done to us and others are not affected enough to stop functioning. Some people shove down every negative feeling they have and locked them away, out of sight and out of the mind, but others used their pain as a shield, a badge of honor or even an excuse to stop caring, stop trying and sometimes stop living.

Some of us have been lucky enough to never know the true definition of pain, the one that leave you breathless, speechless, in tears and on your knees. The one that makes you beg for it to stop, prevents you from getting up every morning, and keeps you wide awake at night. The one that destroys your smile, darken your heart and spoils any happiness you may have, the one that paints your world gray and turns oxygen into sulfur. The one that turns depression into suicide.

Capturing starlight is something only the most miserable people can do. There is a stark and gut-wrenching beauty in people who never stop getting up, no matter how often they have gotten beat down and claw their way out of the dark hole they have fallen into. I think it is truly the hardest thing anyone can do in life.

Depression, grief, loss… Those feelings are the cruelest and most persistent ones. They suffocate you and always linger, like a toxin. They are the shadows under your feet and behind your eyes, they follow you around, dug their claws into your soul and fester everything in your life.

You capture starlight when you fight their pull to the darkness everyday.

You capture starlight when you are still kind, caring and able to honestly smile despite the pain you’re feeling inside and the tears you’ve been crying every night.

You capture starlight when you keep on fighting, keep on living, keep on loving despite hurting to your very core and you are so incredibly beautiful for it. You are blinding, stunning and perfect in your own broken little way and nobody, nobody can reduce you to nothing, because you have the strength of Gods. You might be hurt but you are not nothing,  you never were. You are beaming with light, you carry the whole universe inside of you, it’s heavy, it’s cold, it’s astonishing in its beauty and terrifying in its ugliness and you carry every bit of it. You are your own Atlas.
