Sometimes, It Really Is Right In Front Of You – Daily Shatzi: Tuesday Theme

Hello Everyone and Happy Tuesday! 🙂

The pursuit of Happiness… a rather tricky enterprise isn’t it? Being Happy…  a worthy goal but easily one of the hardest thing to attain in life.

When you have learned enough about yourself, when you know where you are going and most importantly where you will never want to go, what you will never want to be, it’s easier to search for happiness and not so scary to fail at getting it.

Nobody ever said that you get what you want in life by trying just once. So you try again, and eventually you build yourself up through the hardships and joys of life, and if you are really lucky, you get to do all of this with someone you love by your side.

So, in for a penny, in for a pound: in five, neatly arranged bullet-points, find my ideas on how to pursuit happiness when you are still a little lost yourself:

  • By trying news hobbies, things you always wanted to do, things you have never done before.
  • By thinking and planning your career at least to certain point. Where do you want to take it? When do you want to start? Find someone who has already achieved what you want to do and ask for advice.
  • By taking some time for yourself, and only for yourself. Never stop trying to discover who you are, how strong you can be and what you truly need in life.
  • By letting others help you, especially if you have no idea where to start. There is no shame in that.
  • By keeping your spirit and your heart open to new people and new places. Traveling and building relationships are great ways to grow up.

However, always remember that happiness does not equal having everything and that if you are trying to have everything, it’s probably because you don’t want anything enough. Pace yourself, you are on the right way and you will be fine.

Happy Shatzi!

Song of the day

“Fast Car” by Tracy Chapman

You got a fast car
I want a ticket to anywhere
Maybe we make a deal
Maybe together we can get somewhere
Anyplace is better
Starting from zero got nothing to lose
Maybe we’ll make something
Me, myself I got nothing to prove

You got a fast car
I got a plan to get us out of here
I been working at the convenience store
Managed to save just a little bit of money
Won’t have to drive too far
Just ‘cross the border and into the city
You and I can both get jobs
And finally see what it means to be living

You see my old man’s got a problem
He live with the bottle that’s the way it is
He says his body’s too old for working
His body’s too young to look like his
My mama went off and left him
She wanted more from life than he could give
I said somebody’s got to take care of him
So I quit school and that’s what I did

You got a fast car
Is it fast enough so we can fly away
We gotta make a decision
Leave tonight or live and die this way

So remember we were driving, driving in your car
Speed so fast I felt like I was drunk
City lights lay out before us
And your arm felt nice wrapped ’round my shoulder
I had a feeling that I belonged
I had a feeling I could be someone, be someone, be someone

You got a fast car
We go cruising to entertain ourselves
You still ain’t got a job
I work in a market as a checkout girl
I know things will get better
You’ll find work and I’ll get promoted
We’ll move out of the shelter
Buy a bigger house and live in the suburbs

I remember we were driving, driving in your car
Speed so fast I felt like I was drunk
City lights lay out before us
And your arm felt nice wrapped ’round my shoulder
I had a feeling that I belonged
I had a feeling I could be someone, be someone, be someone

You got a fast car
I got a job that pays all our bills
You stay out drinking late at the bar
See more of your friends than you do of your kids
I’d always hoped for better
Thought maybe together you and me would find it
I got no plans I ain’t going nowhere
So take your fast car and keep on driving

I remember we were driving, driving in your car
Speed so fast I felt like I was drunk
City lights lay out before us
And your arm felt nice wrapped ’round my shoulder
I had a feeling that I belonged
I had a feeling I could be someone, be someone, be someone

You got a fast car
But is it fast enough so you can fly away
You gotta make a decision
Leave tonight or live and die this way

  1. The picture is gorgeous, the saying is perfect & I do love a Fast Car! Every bullet point was on the mark, Fantac. Happiness is a holy grail
It is that quest that everyone is on & so few attain. I believe that if you are true to who you are, you live life according to your beliefs, you are enroute to finding that elusive thing known as happiness. Terrific post for a Tuesday.
