Dear November… Err…- Daily Shatzi: Wednesday Theme

Hello Everyone and Happy Wednesday 🙂

Ah, November is upon us. Some cold, chilly and wet days are ahead of us my dear royals, unless of course you are living in some hot and exotic country.

Are you feeling the blues already? Are you fighting the urge to bury yourself in a mountain of fluffy pillows while your heater is turned on to the max? Are you forlornly gazing out the window and watching the grey sky pouring down its raindrops on those poor umbrellas?

Yep, November kind of sucks.

But the bad weather will not get us down! Granted, your summer dress days and bowling shorts are behind you for now, but that doesn’t mean you cannot slay in a huge, warm sweater and mean beanie. For all of you nostalgic of the spring and summer seasons, and falling hard in a melancholic mood at the first sight of a snowflake or a downpour, there are stuffs you can do to lighten your aversion of what I like to call “The November Blues”.

  • You can shout “I’m singing in the rain” at the top your lungs when you have to walk a long distance outside and you are not wearing the adequate shoes, and it’s raining like nobody’s business. It’s like your personal “Screw you!” to Mother Nature. You cannot be respectful all the time. Just apologize after.
  • You can buy one of those ridiculous beanies with cat ears or bunny ears, and keep your head and ears super warm, while looking cute and silly. It makes people smile and put you in a good mood. It’s fun, try it.
  • You can indulge in those frilly, fruity, and sugary hot winter drinks, with a lot of wipe creams and sprinkles on them. Where is the harm in that? We should all fatten up for winter. It is getting colder outside after all.

See? There is positivism in everything 🙂

Now, get up and get out! Enjoy that pouring rain and chilly wind! and this Shatzi!

Song of the day

Gene Kelly “I’m singing in the rain”

I’m singin’ in the rain
Just singin’ in the rain
What a glorious feelin’
I’m happy again.
I’m laughing at clouds.
So dark up above
The sun’s in my heart
And i’m ready for love.

Let the stormy clouds chase.
Everyone from the place
Come on with the rain
I’ve a smile on my face
I walk down the lane
With a happy refrain
just singin’
singin’ in the rain

dancin’ in the rain…

im happy again…

I’m singin’ and dancin’ in the rain…

  1. Oh how I’d love to have a rainy, cold, autumny November! This is my second year without an autumn (because I moved into one of these hot, exotic places; very boring season wise), and you know what they say about missing something when you can’t have it… I’d love to have all the depressing things of November 😀

  2. Singin’ in the Rain is a favorite movie & song of mine. Personally, as I sit here in the American Southeast facing another 80 degree day, I would give anything for warm sweaters & a beanie. I keep hoping that eventually we will see snow.
I will have a sugary, fun, whipped latte even in summer. No fat storage required. 😉. A fun post, Fantac but also an important message. The holiday season with its weather can cause depression. There is hope. The sun will return.
Thanks again for a lovely Shatzi!
