Don’t Look for Love, Expect It – Daily Shatzi: Monday Theme

Hello Everyone and Happy Monday 🙂

Some people feel loneliness with more acuity during springs than the rest of the year. In my humble opinion, feeling lonely is not any easier during the other seasons of year.

This Shatzi is for everyone who wants to be in a relationship but unfortunately isn’t.

Dealing with rejection is hard enough but nothing is more heartbreaking than feeling like there is actually no one out there for you.

Sometimes we look for love in the wrong places and in the wrong people because we don’t really know what love looks like or feels like.

One of the things I believe in life is the power of trying relentlessly and not giving up on your dreams and on yourself.

However, looking for love in bars, on social media apps or in the eyes of strangers doesn’t sound like a great plan, especially if you’ve been doing it for so long that the action feels empty of any hope.

And despite your frantic searches, you can’t find anyone to even ask out. Nothing clicks. And it’s not your fault, it’s not that you are too picky or ugly or awkward, it’s just not the time nor the place.

But let me ask you: Did you actually know what you wanted? did you know exactly what you were looking for? Yes, a relationship but what kind? what do want in a person? what do you want to give to them? what can you bring to the table?

It’s a waste of time to look for love or to wish for a relationship if you don’t even know who you are and what you want… or if you haven’t even thought of your own definition of love.

Speaking of experiences, I realized that not asking myself those questions was most likely the reason why I could not find a suitable partner.

The hardest thing to do is not being in a relationship with someone, it’s being in a relationship with yourself, being honest with yourself and accepting your own shortcomings and flaws.

Once you do that, you’ll find out that you don’t need to seek out love. All you need to do is to celebrate it within yourself and never close yourself to it.

If you love yourself, you won’t need to look for love, just expect it.

Enjoy this Shatzi,

🙂

Song of the day

I wanna be moved – Ginny Owens

This road is winding, narrow and steep
And I can’t keep walking with frozen feet
My spirit is not willing, my heart is cold as ice
Thaw out my convictions, the passion’s left my life

And I don’t wanna be a flame
I wanna be a raging fire
Tired of my will, my way
Your calling’s higher
And I know it’s time I stopped running from the truth
So I’ll stand here still until I’m filled
I wanna be moved
Oh yeah, I wanna be moved by you

Wanna be a rebel with a holy cause
Stand against the devil and have up my cross
You have a mission for me, a reason why I’m here
To radiate your glory, with sweet songs to your ears

I don’t wanna be a flame
I wanna be a raging fire
Tired of my will, my way
Your calling’s higher
And I know it’s time I stopped running from the truth
So I’ll stand here still until I’m filled
I wanna be moved
Oh, moved

I don’t wanna be a flame
I wanna be a raging fire
Tired of my will, my way
Your calling’s higher
And I know it’s time I stopped running from the truth
So I’ll stand here still until I’m filled
I wanna be moved
Oh yeah, I wanna be moved
I wanna be, I wanna be moved
I wanna be moved
By you

  1. Great post! I like your take on ‘love’ and especially this expression… “Sometimes we look for love in the wrong places and in the wrong people because we don’t really know what love looks like or feels like.” I have borrowed these words and will be posting it on my site. I have linked it to this amazing post. Well done!
