Hello Everyone and Happy First Day of Fall! :)

Despite today being a Thursday, I cannot help but being thrilled and a little enchanted because we are welcoming the Autumnal Equinox, we are starting our very first day of Fall and celebrating Autumn!

Autumn is my favorite season for many reasons! I’m aware that many people have a huge dislike of it, probably because of the cold and the rain joyfully coming back from their sabbatical and I know that some people even associate Autumn with depression or sadness, but why must we always see things negatively?

Autumn is like a sweet melancholia, a ethereal dressing of our surrounding. It’s a season that inspired so many talented artists and writers and I think it’s the most beautiful time of the year. Autumn is when every warm colors falls on you in the form of the trees’s leaves. They are carpeting your path and painting your surrounding in red, gold and brown. It’s stunning.

Autumn is transitory, it’s like a soothing lullaby given by Nature before the harsh hollowing of winter. Everything is just… crisp and magical during Autumn.

I know the fall season has Nature shedding its old skin, but I always felt of deep sense of rebirth, hope and warm during Autumn. I think it’s a great time to find beauty, start a new journey and believe in magic. What about you? Do you like Autumn?

    Inspirational! I love the Fall, I’m currently at a conference in Waterloo Ontario where we will be treated to a traditional Oktoberfest dinner and keg-tapping tonight. Waterloo hosts the second largest annual Oktoberfest celebration not the world, next to the original in Munich. A great start to Autumn!

    I love Morcheeba, Fantac! That picture is also very interesting and I like the richness of the reds. I never really paid attention to autumn. However, the older I get, the more I have started to enjoy it. I love the crispness in the air, the way that you can wear sweaters, the brightness of the leaves and the promise in the air.

      Oh, that’s a lovely description! It’s funny, when I was a kid, I was fascinated by seasons, I kept pestering my parents about why the days were getting shorter, why the leaves were falling from the tree, and why everything was red and brown and yellow! I always loved Autumn, there is something magical about it. Winter is more challenging for me, it’s a hard season to get through but as long as I can find beauty in it, I’ll be fine! Thank you for your comment ^^ (I sooo love that we share similar taste in music!)

    I miss autumn! When I lived in NY I took seeing the leaves change for granted. Where I live now, there are two seasons, summer and hurricane.
