Hi y’all! Happy Saturday! 🙂
Aaah, the beginning of the weekend, the softness of your pillow, the fresh smell of your afternoon coffee, the alarm that you never scheduled because you will damn well sleep until you don’t want to anymore… Saturday, Saturday, Saturday! Oh, how we love you Saturday!
Let’s say it’s midday, and you all just woke up, ready to get your freaky wild weekend lifestyle on. You know what you should add to your Saturday? Or rather what I do every Saturday?
I go to the gym.
Dun Dun Dun! Oh the horror! How can how stain a perfect day of laziness by perpetuating the odious act of working out? Someone fetch the pitchforks.
Except that working out is absolutely great because I’m so completely dead at the end of it that I have no trouble sleeping at night. Once the pain in my muscles fades away, I feel great and I definitely have more strength and endurance to execute all the pesky weekly tasks I have to do. Like carrying heavy stuffs or running to catch the bus.
It’s not about whipping your body into the society’s beauty standard shoved down our throat on a daily basis. It’s about loving your body by staying healthy and doing what’s best for it, so it won’t fail you when you need to be strong.
Today’s Shatzi is all for it. Enjoy!
Quote of the day

Picture of the day

Song of the day
“Rise”
I won’t just survive
Oh, you will see me thrive
Can’t write my story
I’m beyond the archetype
I won’t just conform
No matter how you shake my core
‘Cause my roots—they run deep, oh
Oh, ye of so little faith
Don’t doubt it, don’t doubt it
Victory is in my veins
I know it, I know it
And I will not negotiate
I’ll fight it, I’ll fight it
I will transform
When, when the fire’s at my feet again
And the vultures all start circling
They’re whispering, “You’re out of time,”
But still I rise
This is no mistake, no accident
When you think the final nail is in
Think again
Don’t be surprised
I will still rise
I must stay conscious
Through the madness and chaos
So I call on my angels
They say
Oh, ye of so little faith
Don’t doubt it, don’t doubt it
Victory is in your veins
You know it, you know it
And you will not negotiate
Just fight it, just fight it
And be transformed
‘Cause when, when the fire’s at my feet again
And the vultures all start circling
They’re whispering, “You’re out of time,”
But still I rise
This is no mistake, no accident
When you think the final nail is in
Think again
Don’t be surprised
I will still rise
Don’t doubt it, don’t doubt it
Oh, oh, oh, oh
You know it, you know it
Still rise
Just fight it, just fight it
Don’t be surprised
I will still rise

I agree, Fantac! Keep your body strong and exercise because you want to do it. Don’t do something because you feel pressured by society’s perfect body image obsession.

My first time on this blog and I love it! I am a Certified Fitness Trainer and have been a fitness junkie since I was 18. It saved me from severe depression and helped me improve on myself not just aesthetically but mentally and even spiritually! I believe when you do it for yourself and with pure intentions (not because of what is in or because of how people see you) you won’t have trouble doing it or having motivation.
I blog about Fitness too on my blog. Check it out if you want? 🙂

Thank you so much for this wonderful comment! I’m happy to have you here on this blog and so very grateful you liked it! I’m definitely going to follow your blog, I work out three times a week, at the gym, it’s kind of a recent thing, three months from now! I had to start slow because I broke my ankle and spent two months in bed, but now I’m on fire! Thank you again for your comment! ^^
