Hello Everyone and Happy Tuesday 🙂

Today’s article is about the beauty of Nature and our appreciation of it. When I first started to explore some creative and artistic websites like Tumblr, Pinterest and We Heart It, I was thrilled to see that, lost in the see of selfies and random abstract pictures, a lot of people shared amazing and breathtaking photos about Nature.

Where I grew up,  there wasn’t much nature to appreciate, there wasn’t a lot of green, most trees look dead even in summer and the architecture was just sad, somber and dull. The silver clouds usually matched the gray pavement and the lack of sunlight didn’t help the plants to grow. So, Nature was pretty much absent, but oh, there was the sea.

In Bretagne, western of France, I grew up near the sea and enjoyed its tumultuous waves everyday. I enjoyed its rage when the sky was torn up by a storm (which was very often) the same way I adored its peacefulness during the harshest day of heat (Which was very rare). The shore was a familiar place, an enticing haven, a refuge where I could ground myself, where I could feel everything and clear out my most troubling thoughts. I had the chance to be the kid who stood on the beach and stare at the clouds while they stare right back down at me.

Imagine standing in front of an endless ocean, on a empty shore, during the night with only the stars for company. Imagine the sound of your breathing and heartbeat completely drown out by the furious cacophony of the waves crashing down the rocks. Imagine feeling like God made out the sea to be the perfect mirror of what you are feeling inside… It doesn’t get better than this. I truly think living around nature is a blessing, a chance you should definitely enjoy while you can. If you’re not that lucky, there must be a park near your home or a natural site in your city. Take the time one day to wander through it…and tell me if it did brighten your day.
