Hello Everyone and Happy Saturday 🙂
October is starting today, and with its usual ambivalent weather, cold wind and shorter days, some lethargy and lack of motivation is excepted. The great thing about Autumn though, is that you can start wearing any comfy, large and ridiculous sweater you want.
Nobody is going to judge you because everyone will be too busy mourning the loss of summer with as many comfortable clothes as possible. Besides, Winter is very close, so start packing on the good stuffs now.
If your surroundings are depressing you, why don’t you try being you’re own source of happiness? A new season is always a perfect occasion to mix things up with your style and maybe try something crazy, weird and completely in phase with your soul.
For example, I’m pretty weird. I’m a geek, a Harry Potter fan to the core, a Marvel comics/movies collector, a bookworm, an optimism who loves sarcasm and I need Music and Chocolate to live. I love colors, I wear big nerdy glasses and I have decided that every time I’m feeling blue, I shall wear a very bright color. That’s my weirdness.
You know what I find beautiful? Someone holding up a bright and yellow umbrella amidst the sea of black ones. A girl who is dying her hair blue because she wants them to match the color of the sky. A guy who is getting a tattoo of his favorite superhero, because why the heck not?
People who are doing something unusual, weird and corny, just because it makes them happy… Isn’t that beauty?
We all have our quirks and our weirdness but nobody ever said that it could not be turn into an advantage, an opportunity to express ourselves, or a reason to be happy. I try to remember this fact every time I feel like the world does not fit me anymore. Guess what? It doesn’t have to fit. I don’t need anything tailored to perfection.
We, the beautiful and weird people are ripped at every edge but we are a masterpiece.
Always remember this.
