Hello Everyone and Happy Friday 🙂
Today, I wish to talk about Gratitude.
We live in a world where everyone judge you for everything. They judge your religion, or your lack of faith, they judge you wealth or your poverty, they judge the way you raise your children or the decision to never have them.
You are judged on your weight, your skin color, your accent, your nationality, your gender, your clothes and if you’re strong enough to stand with your back straight and your chin up despite that dreadful and unfair burden upon your shoulders, then you are judged for being uncaring and haughty, cold and distant.
If you crumble under the weight of their cruel stares and their callous words, then you are judged for being weak, for giving up a fight you never tried to enter in the first place.
People judged your heart, and they judged your feelings.
Well, I write this Shatzi today in defiance of all of that. I’m so, so grateful for the life I have. I’m so grateful for who I managed to become, for the things and the people that have helped build me up. I’m so grateful for everyone who shares my life. Nobody has the right to judge that.
I’m not ridiculous, or corny, or stupid or naive because I feel gratitude to whoever is looking out for me and my small existence. Whether you believe in God, in fate, in yourself or all of the above, be grateful for what you have, take a moment to appreciate how incredibly lucky you are to have a roof above your head, a job that help you pay rent, enough to eat three meals a day, friend, family, lover that cherish you for who you are…
If you are safe, warm and pleased today then be grateful for it, because there is someone else in the world, a man, a woman or a child, working as hard as you do, carrying the same aspirations for happiness and love that you do, but doing it while being cold, scared and alone.
Despite everyone and everything, try to be grateful. After all, it is always so much better than being hateful.
