Hello Everyone and Happy Saturday 🙂
We all have bad days, some worse than the others. We all have bad, really bad moments when our thoughts are a jumbling mess of negativity and self-recrimination, when we don’t remember what happiness feels like or how to turn on our inner light. We all have moments of despair and shame and fear.
It’s OK and it’s human. What matter is not the moment itself, it’s how you deal with it.
If you do not have anyone to anchor yourself into reality and quiet the voices in your mind that push you spirit down and destroy everything that is good and bright about yourself, then you must learn to do this on your own. If you are your own poison, then you must learn to be your own remedy too. It is not a “last recourse” deal. I’m of the firm opinion that when it comes down to your own mind, your own troubles and your own happiness, the first person that should be able to help you is yourself. It’s wonderful to have people, friends, and family that you can count on and lean on when you need it the most, but you should always, always be able to count on yourself too.
I understand the people who are afraid of being left alone with themselves, with their own thoughts. We live in a day and age when loving yourself is a hard thing to do, too many expectations of what you should look like, how you should do things, what you should strive for, where you should see yourself in five years, and who you should want to be with. Too many “Not like that”, “Don’t do that” and “Don’t wish for that”.
Battling your own demons, especially the one named self-loathing and depression, doesn’t’ have to be a loud and fierce thing, leaving you exhausted and hollow. You can pick your battles and go slow, learn to breathe, in and out, deeply, closed eyes and thinking of nothing consequential instead of listing everything you think is wrong about you.
It is easier said than done, that obvious.
But it also start with yourself, that is obvious too.
So for all the people who are being pressured to “get over it” and “move on”, for all the people who are struggling with their thoughts or had an awful day and are not able to shake it off… this Shatzi is for you. I hope you will enjoy it.
Word of the day

Picture of the day

Song of the day
Addie Hamilton “Just Breathe”
I just heard the news today
You’ve given up inside the cloud and run away
Though we’ve only just begun
All we’ve come to know has almost gone undone
Look behind the mask you’ve carved
I see the beauty under scars
There’s still a beat inside your heart
Just breathe with me
One more day is all I’m asking
Breathe, breathe, breathe
Each day of life, heavy by the hour
Shameful voices getting louder, louder
Worried prayers of love surround you
Find the moment eyes wide open
Gift of life not broken, broken
And when that door opens, you’ll walk through
Don’t give up now
I’ll help you lift what’s weighing you down
Please just turn around
Just breathe with me
One more day is all I’m asking
Breathe, breathe, breathe
All of these emotions crashing in
And every minute I’ll keep praying
Breathe, breathe, breathe
That’s the least that you can do for me
Standing on the edge
Surrender, surrender
Surrender, surrender
surrender
Just breathe with me
One more day is all I’m asking
Breathe, breathe, breathe
All of these emotions crashing in
And every minute I’ll keep praying
Breathe, breathe, breathe
That’s the least that you can do for me

Just breathe! Such wise advice! Sometimes it is hard to quiet those inner voices demanding attention. It is something I have to work on everyday. Some days are a struggle. Thank you, Fantac for a well timed Shatzi!
