There Is No Right Direction Without a First Step – Daily Shatzi: Monday Theme

Hello Everyone and Happy Monday! 🙂

We are at the last quarter of the year. I can only hope that everyone is happy or at least satisfied with the progress they made during the first eight months of 2018.

However, I know that’s not the case for most people.

At the beginning of 2018, I started a new plan to organize my life in a way that would slowly but surely help me become the best version of myself. I’m doing this with the help of the Artist of Life Workbook by Lavendaire. 

If you haven’t read my article about this and about how to be driven in life, I encourage you to take a look.

Trying to be better everyday, trying to empower yourself, heal yourself and be self-aware of your own faults and flaws can definitely take a toll on you in the long run. I’ve been doing this since January. I won’t say it’s easy or even pleasant all the time, but I do not regret my efforts.

I think most people are afraid of moving on, afraid of leaving what kills their souls and their spirits because whether it’s a toxic place or toxic relationship, it is the only thing they know. It is what they are used to.

I don’t judge them. There is nothing more terrifying than taking that first step into the unknown. Starting anew? Getting a new life? A fresh start? Those are pretty words, full of fantasy, adventure and bravery, but like a wonderful and life-changing things, they require a sacrifice.

I know what it cost to leave everything behind, even when you know leaving is the only thing left to do. The best thing for you. It’s still hurt, it’s still frightening, and it’s lonely.

I can tell you it’s worth it though. That first step? That step you take to save yourself? To find yourself, to love yourself? No matter where you go, it is always a step in the right direction.
