Hello Everyone and Happy Saturday! 🙂
So, I’m going to the 2016 Comic Con edition at Paris today, and I figured that this Shatzi is a great opportunity to share geeky, nerdy and fandom’s freak profile with you all.
So I create a shot Q&A to give you an idea of my favorites comics and characters! Here we go:
- Marvel or DC comics?
Marvel. I loved most of the Marvel movies, but I did love a few DC movies. And contrary to popular belief, they don’t suck. Except for Batman VS Superman. This one was a mess.
2. Favorite Villain?
Do I really have to say it? Loki, of course! Loki of Asgard, the mistreated and abused boy who loved doing magic, Loki of Jotunheim, the runt of all frost giants, abandoned because of his size, Loki Liesmith who only lie because nobody wants to hear the ugly truth, Loki Skywalker, the genius who traveled through thousands of realms… I love Loki, and I was very happy with Tom Hiddleston’s portray of him. I have a soft spot for misunderstood villain.
3. Favorite Hero?
Mmh. This is a though one.
Now, I know that most people in the fandom have the tendency to… fixating and immediately oppose characters that have little in common, but I don’t care! I adore Tony Stark. He makes me laugh, and I appreciate the genius that he is, of course… I mean, he literally created his own armor, his own shield and his own fortress. His greatest power is his mind. Iron Man is the bomb. So, yep, I love Tony.
But, my favorite hero is Captain America.
I’ll admit, at first, while I sympathized and empathized a great deal with his health issues and the bullying he was enduring, I still found him a little too self-righteous from my taste. So straight and narrow, so buttoned-up, so uptight, all the time. It was annoying, in the comics as well as in the movies. But then… Civil War happened.
No, it was actually before that, the Winter Soldier is what really made me fall in love with Steve Rogers and James Buckanon Barnes. The sheer depth of their friendship, of the love they share with each other is legendary and illustrated wonderfully in all Marvel’s arts.
Captain America, the most righteous man ever, the savior of them all, the honest, good and kind man from Brooklyn does not hesitate to do bad things, awful things – for Bucky.
He lied, betrayed and have hurt everyone, including his friends and fellow heroes, to protect Bucky. The level of sacrifice, of loyalty he has for him is what sold me to this character, because suddenly he was more than just your average hero, he was reliable, he was human, he was flawed and beautifully showing it, he was someone who loved someone else so completely that he went as far as necessary to keep him safe. Best friendship in Marvel Universe, I swear.
4. Favorite Female Character?
Oh, I love all of them! I’m a huge sucker for badass female characters because they are hugely underrepresented in every fandom, not just Marvel.
So here is a little list (Non-exhaustive, trust me.)
- Diane Prince – Wonder Woman (DC)
- Agent Peggy Carter (Marvel)
- Monica Rambeau – Spectrum (Marvel)
- Pepper Potts (Marvel)
- Jessica Jones (Marvel)
- Natasha Romanoff – Black Widow (Marvel)
- Asajj Ventress (Star Wars)
- Amora and Lorelai (Marvel)
- Hela (marvel)
- Nyota Uhura (Star Trek)
- Ororo Munroe – Storm (Marvel)
- June Moone – The enchantress (DC)
… and so much more!

I hope you have fun at Comic Con. I have always wanted to go to get my geek on. I am a sci fi chick all the way. I would LOVE to do anything Star Trek related. Unfortunately, my fav super hero, Ultraman is not really too popular.

Thanks! All comic book villains are silly, but when you really examine The Joker, I think he could be the scariest one of all.
